I took this picture when I was watching one of my favorite movies. The name of the movie is Ninja Assassin and the reason why its my favorite is becasue when I was a little kid I would always dress up as a ninja for Halloween becasue I wanted to be one, so when I saw that a movie about what I liked about ninja was made I was really happy and every time I see that movie it reminds me of when I was a kid.
The reason why I took this picture is becasue the dish that I shown is actually a mixture of cultures and the cultures that are mixed into it are Japanese and Mexican culture. I really like this picture becasue I have been interested in the Japanese culture for a while. I the things I like most about Japanese culture is their history and their way of life. The place where I took this picture is a Japanese/Mexican restaurant called Tokio Pub.
I decided to take this picture when I first got this picture becasue it was the first thing I put on my wall when I first moved into my apartment. The thing I really admire about this picture is the fact that it states where I am from and it reminds me of the great friends, family, and memories that I have back at home.
I was able to visit my grandparents not to long ago and while I was over there I got curious and i wanted to see if my grandparents had anything that they probably forgot and that was old. I managed to find this vase and when I asked my grandmother about it she told me that she got that from one of her friends from china a while back and I thought what she said was very interesting becasue I didn't know my grandparents knew people from china.
Over my thanksgiving break I also managed to try out a new Mexican restaurant with my family, the place was called Taco Madre. My family and I know that any style of french fries in Mexican restaurants are pretty uncommon so when we saw that in Taco Madre had Fries ala Mexicana which basically means Mexican fries we knew we had to try them. The fries turned out to be really good and I thought how interesting it must have been for someone to about Mexican style fries.
Not to long ago I bought a desk fountain for my apartment and the reason why was because I personally like the sound of water flowing for the reason that it relaxes. I usually work on homework and other thing at my apartment and I thought that the sound of water flowing while I work on homework would make me think that doing it would be less stressful.
I took this picture over my thanksgiving break when my family decided they wanted sushi so we went to this place called Sakura Japanese restaurant. I really liked how the waiters and waitresses brought sushi in a wooden boat every time you finished ordering. The thing that I found very amusing was how great the wooden boat complimented the color of the sushi because I felt that the colors of the sushi were expressed more.

I know its not the best picture of chopsticks but the main reason why I took this picture of the chopsticks that I used for my Panda Express yesterday was because I want to show how in Asia chopstick are used probably as common as I use a spoon, fork, and knife here in America. I honestly prefer using chopsticks whenever I can because it makes me feel a little more connected to Asian culture and not only that but it's actually kind of fun becasue once you start to learn how to use chopsticks the challenge of trying to get big portions of food in your mouth instead of little portions with chopsticks is very fun.
Yesterday I was drinking one of these green tea bottle and it made me think on how different such products are displayed in terms of region. This is known as Oi-Ocha and in Japan its referred to as Japan's number one green brand. Oi-Ocha to me taste better when it is cold as it does contain a pretty strong flavor that some people don't like because I gave some to a few relatives and I thought they would like it because they drink almost dark coffee but it turned out that the flavor just didn't do it for them.
