I was able to visit my grandparents not to long ago and while I was over there I got curious and i wanted to see if my grandparents had anything that they probably forgot and that was old. I managed to find this vase and when I asked my grandmother about it she told me that she got that from one of her friends from china a while back and I thought what she said was very interesting becasue I didn't know my grandparents knew people from china.
This image is pleasing in its simplicity. The vase isn't even painted, and yet, there is something oddly captivating about it. The demonstration of form combined with the shimmering blue background is reminiscent of a flowing river, and this is incredibly pleasing to witness.
